Job costing has become an integral part of shop management. With the introduction of computerized estimating, a number of time/data software programs have been introduced. A drawback is the time they require for the collection of
data, which is often done manually, and the transfer on to the management software. Another, is the installation of sensitive and costly PCs in the work area.
The Tracker unit was designed to solve this problem. It communicates directly with the A.B.W. Tracker management software. It gives the shop owner instant review of all daily job activities and vehicle status. The unit is simple
to use and installs anywhere you need it in the shop.
It's function keys are specifically designed for body shops. Features such as Body,
Frame,
Refinish,
Prep.,
etc. allow your technicians to clock not only IN and
OUT for
their shifts, but also to enter START and
STOP times
for the daily work orders. This way the shop owner can effectively
monitor the employee's activities as well as the status of the work orders.
The Tracker unit can operate as a stand alone. This
means if your computer is temporarily 'down' your technicians can
still enter the information. When your computer is 'running' again,
you can retrieve all the information from the unit. Multiple units can be linked together (ideal for larger shops) without the added cost of networking in the work area.
